Johnson who did the same and then took credit for integration. The record shows that many Southern Democrats voted AGAINST integration.

As desegregation of schools began, he sent troops into Little Rock, Arkansas, to assure compliance with the orders of a Federal court; he also ordered the complete desegregation of the Armed Forces. "There must be no second class citizens in this country," he wrote.

Perry asked for help because of our historical drought. He knew the many fire hazards Texas faced. Once again Obama through FEMA ignored him. The problems in Texas were not deserving of federal attention!

Texas has created jobs. Our economy is a sore spot in Obama's side because our state has been able to weather his economic hell. Yes we have our fiscal problems, but they are nothing compared to our nation.

Who Has the Rights?

Article 10 of our Bill of Rights gives the states any power not given to the central government as stated in the U.S. Constitution. It also says that if the same Constitution does not forbid states from exercising certain powers  then the states and the People have right to exercise those powers.

So why is the federal government telling people they must buy health insurance? It should be up to the states to vote in their legislatures for such medical laws. The representatives in the state legislatures are there to "represent" the People. It is up to the People to have the final word through their chosen representatives.

In the U.S. Congress, the House of Representatives is more or less made of this type of law making group. Except...the Representatives are there to vote for a much larger group of People than in the state legislatures. There is a better chance of misrepresentation in in U.S. Congress than in any state group.

As for the Senate...that group is far removed from representing the home state People. They have a better chance of voting for certain interests. This is where Barack Obama made his bed and kept the sheets tucked in tight! He made his deals and got the health care bill passed...far from the consent of the People.

It's wonderful how an unrealistically strong central government works. Congress listened to a socialist president and ignored the People. Thankfully the People have a voice using their vote to usurp the power and give it back to the states and the People.

The U.S. Bill of Rights

I - Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and Petition

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.

VI - Right to a speedy trial, witnesses, etc.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

VII - Right to a trial by jury

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

VIII - Excessive bail, cruel punishment

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

IX - Rule of construction of Constitution

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

X - Rights of the States under Constitution

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

It Makes a lot of sense.

September 11th 2001

I woke up that morning to the sound of falling leaves.

They dropped slowly from the branches they clung to all summer.
No birds, just dumb leaves.
It was a normal day, just like yesterday, or so I thought.

I was back in school for almost a month.

How I missed the lazy days of summer bliss.
High school was just what I thought it was fun, fun, fun!
How could I not like it!
But, it was still early morning.
And, thinking about summer just made the fun go away.

Here comes the school bus and all my new friends.

Up bumpy dirt roads, down a smooth highway, gravel grinding under the tires.
What a trip.
Here we were as the school bus jerked to a halt.
Man, where did those lazy summer days go!

First period just about done.

I think the 8:30 bell just rung.
I had to go to Spanish class; don’t know why.
In South Texas we all spoke a little Spanish, who needs more.
Let’s see…”Como te llamas” means…

All of a sudden the school PA system came on.

It was probably another announcement about Saturday’s football game.
Oh well…let me have it…Blah-blah-blah.
“Students we have some tragic news coming from the city of New York.”
That statement was the beginning of my life changing forever.
Buy why…who done it…where did it happen exactly…tell me more?
Tell me why my life is about to change!
September 11^th 2001…what was so different about that day?

Only God knows why.

Only God can tell us what to do.
We must listen to Him and Him alone.
I’ll put my faith in Him and Him alone.
And then we all bowed our heads and I for one prayed.
My life had changed and so many had been lost.
God hear our Prayer.

Why are We Killing the Unborn?

I'm a 65 year old grandfather. My wife and I have been married for almost 43 years. In our life-time we've had four children. Now we have three grand children to boot.

The word "abortion" never crossed our minds. God gave us the children and grand children. He didn't say He'd give them to us if we want them. He expected us to take His gift and nourish it. He had no "ifs", "ands", or "buts" about His gift. He didn't say "Abort...Kill...Murder...if you don't really want My gift."

So now-a-days people think they have a right to abort, kill, and murder the unborn...well because it/they were an inconvenience...or it/they don't fit into our plans right now, maybe later...or it/they were an accident and we can't manage at this time.

You know, it's funny, but as I think about it, we sometimes couldn't afford to have our kids. BUT...we didn't say let's get rid of them because we don't have the money. No...we managed...we sacrificed...we put off buying a house...we saved...we had a few good turns of luck...we survived...and so did they!

Well, I don't know why many Americans see abortion as OK if the situations are right/wrong. Rape...maybe...and then again it's still a Life. A deformed child...and then again it's still a Life. The mother's health...very touchy here...so I'll make no judgments.

My rambling brings me back to my original question...why are we killing the unborn. You decide why!

Is It Legal

Is it legal for Obama to use Air Force One on his campaign? After all, we taxpayers foot the bill for presidential use of AF-1. So is he using taxpayer money to campaign for re-election? Can he? Should he? What about that Canadian made bus he's driving up the mid-west? Who pays for it and gas?
