Herman Cain's 9-9-9 Could go to 12-12-12 or 15-15-15

Below is my response to someone who said that Herman Cain's 9-9-9 did NOT add to my taxes. This was on my Facebook. You may not agree with me, but you must think about it...seriously. The plan may be catchy, but it is, in my opinion, another business/government gimmick.


It (Herman Cain's 9-9-9 plan) is an added tax BURDEN in that you still have a 9% FEDERAL income tax for everyone. Corporations get a 9% tax. And then there's the 9% SALES TAX. Yes, there is a lowering of income taxes for everyone. But we pay those income taxes once. The sales tax goes on ad infinitum. And YES the 9% SALES TAX adds up especially for people on fixed incomes or with low incomes. Sure the "well off" folks pay higher sales taxes when they buy a Porsche, but so do I when I buy a Ford!! In my city we pay 8.125% sales tax..now add 9% more...NO THANKS...Cain's tax plan can lead to higher rates later...check with Sean Hannity on that theory. I say...work on the current tax system...with cajones (pardon my Spanish slang)...fix it!!
