Do you remember
the "whistle-blower" law? Roughly, four months ago Congress passed the
Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act (WPEA). According to the Government
Accountability Project (GAP), this law would protect federal employees from
reprisal under certain circumstances.
Since then the Obama Administration issued
a memo to the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Office of Personnel
Management (OPM) that established new directives. The order would allow federal
agencies to terminate employees without appeal if their work was determined to be
‘national security sensitive.'
It appears
that this could silence any witnesses to the Benghazi Massacre. Senator Charles
Grassley (R – IA), co–author of the WPEA legislation said that Obama “in many
instances has sought to silence whistle-blowers.”
