No Photo...No Food Stamps

The governor of Maine has a great idea regarding food stamps. He wants anyone using food stamps to show ID when they make a purchase. He feels this will reduce food stamp fraud.

But, the Obama USDA told Governor Paul LePage that showing an ID wouldn't help reduce fraud and abuse. The Department of Agriculture denied LePage's request for a waiver that would allow Maine to require food stamp recipients to provide photo identification when using their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards. This was in an effort to cut down on fraud.
