I applaud our country for doing as much as it can for our wounded warriors returning from the Middle East. Yes, we've come a long way since the days of returning Vietnam vets.
Back then they were greeted by left leaning students and radicals with signs and protests telling them how their sacrifices were in vain. Thanks to these draft dodging liberals (Bill Clinton included) Vietnam vets got nothing but scorn. No help. No special hospitals. No special rehab facilities. Nothing but spit in the face!
A generation of young men and women deserved better than what they received. They paid for the mistakes of their leaders (Johnson, Westmoreland, and the like). No one paid for their service.
So from this blogger...THANKS TO ALL OUR VIET VETS! PEACE AND THE LORD BE WITH YOU. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AND YOUR LIVES.
