Tuskegee Study on Fat Kids

In April of this year, the USDA gave a $25,000 grant to Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, AL. So, what’s so unusual about this grant? Unbelievably, this funding was to study if the fondness for fat and sugar could play a role in fat and obesity development among African-American youngsters in Alabama.

Let’s see…if kids like Twinkies and they are available…can they make kids fat if eaten by the dozens? You got me there! Will Ding Dong overload lead to fat kids? Chances are…YES. However, why pay a study to reach this conclusion? Why, it’s only taxpayer money!
