The Pigford Settlement Open to Fraud

Pigford v. Glickman filed in 1997 was a class action lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The lawsuit alleged racial discrimination by the USDA in the allocation of farm loans and assistance between 1983 and 1997. The original Pigford suit was filed in behalf of black farmers.
