The La-La Land of Happy Bureaucrats

The federal government furloughed all "non-essential" employees because of the government shutdown. Now, Congress wants to give these government bureaucrats back pay or a paid vacation for time off. Millions of Americans don't have the same option or benefit.


Working for the USAF for over 30 years, I didn't get unearned paid leave when Clinton was head sleaze! What's with the House? Why were these federal employees loafing around the house all this time and then be given back pay for work they did not perform? I guess times have changed!
