Dr. Savage: Why is Obama persecuting the Amish people?

Welcome to The Michael Savage Newsletter.

In today's issue: Savage switched his focus from the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community to another religious sect, the Amish.

A group of Amish men and women have been sentenced to 15 years in prison after the federal government declared their bizarre internal feud a "hate crime." Dr. Savage wonders how such an injustice could take place in the United States.

"I'm going to talk about the persecution of another religious group in America that nobody gives a damn about because they aren't a voting block," Dr. Savage informed his listeners, explaining:

They are the Amish. The government has sentenced some Amish people to fifteen years in jail for cutting other Amish men's beards.

If I told you this happened in the Soviet Union, you might say, "Well, I can understand Stalin doing that to get rid of some political enemies." This is happening in the United States of America.

The Amish are gentle, kind, non-violent people who mind their business. They are the descendants of an old, traditional Christian sect.

Your government under Barack Hussein Obama and one of his Nazi Party prosecutors has thrown the book at the Amish for cutting the beards of their neighbors. All because of this internal dispute, they're being imprisoned out of state so their families can't visit them, because the Amish can't fly or drive.

Meanwhile, Governor John Corzine gets no jail time for $1.5 billion in missing funds. How is it that drug dealers and gang members get less jail time than some Amish people?
